On the other hand report, Paraguayan President Fernando Lugo congratulated on Tuesday the national soccer team for booking a ticket to the quarterfinals at the World Cup.

President Fernando Lugo said that players were “lions” and “a joy for Paraguay” when he congratulated the team coached by Argentine Gerardo Martino and he also congratulated the directors of the Paraguayan Soccer Association (APF).

According to President Lugo, “As president of the Republic of Paraguay, I feel like a simple fan waving the three-color flag and wearing with pride the T-shirt of the team; you do not know how much joy this day has given us.”

Further from him, he also urged the team to “continue ahead” because “still is missing to defeat the best,” however he considered that “in the heart of each Paraguayan fan they are already the champion we have always wished.” “You have reached where nobody reached before; even better, with the language of your master games and sweat you reached a privilege place where it is produced an unsurpassable feeling of being a winner.” And lastly added, “Let’s go Paraguay !!!”.
